Comboio and Moinho Vivo Workshops

As part of the 31st Bienal de São Paulo's Program in Time, the collective Comboio and the movement Moinho Vivo are developing a series of cultural and educational workshops from September to November, 2014. On December 6th, a sarau will be held at Favela do Moinho to close the cycle of workshops. The collaboration with Favela do Moinho is an attempt to explore art's ability to interfere in different contexts. As the last remaining favela in downtown São Paulo, Moinho provides a crucial counterpoint in cultural terms and conditions to Bienal, located in Ibirapuera Park. Considering the resistance movement of Favela do Moinho, the 31st Bienal addresses the conditions of visibility, self-definition and management of art and culture, as well as the possibility for collaboration between different types of cultural organizations.

The workshops to be held from Monday to Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Favela do Moinho (Rua Dr. Elias Chaves n.20 – Campos Elíseos) are divided into the following categories.

To attend, just send an email to workshop31bsp@bienal.fluxo.design with the name of the activity in which you intend to participate in the subject line.
