Sauna lésbica – Workshop – Poetic touch, a self-massage experience , Romária Sampaio

On September 16, at 2pm, will take place at 35th Bienal de São Paulo the workshop Poetic touch, a self-massage experience, by Romária Sampaio.

In this meeting, self-massage is understood as poetry recorded in touch and cellular memory. An experience to celebrate the joy of being a lesbian, a sapatão. Romária Sampaio is a black lesbian woman from the periphery. In 2016, she created the Grandma’s Recipes initiative, which promotes the valorization of popular knowledge in the periphery and the expansion of health care through herbs and ancestral knowledge.

Sauna Lésbica is a collective movement for the celebration of Black lesbian and sapatão affectivities and a pleasurable, safe, and provocative space for experiencing politics, the spiritual and the profane, for loving and welcoming.
