After visiting São Luís (MA), Campinas (SP), São José do Rio Preto (SP), Campos do Jordão (SP) and Belo Horizonte (MG) – until september 25th), the traveling exhibitions program for the 34th Bienal de São Paulo – Though it’s dark, still I sing, arrives in Fortaleza (CE), in partnership with Fundação Edson Queiroz and Fortaleza University (Unifor).

For 2022, the exhibitions were designed based on statements, which are themes or objects with relevant histories that bring together works and artists, encouraging the public to reflect on the subjects presented. This year, topics such as colonization, racism and indigenous issues are part of the discussions addressed.

In Fortaleza, the exhibition takes place at Espaço Cultural Unifor and the tour presents three statements: Tikmũ’ũn Songs, The Engraved Image of Coatlicue and Hiroshima mon amour by Alain Resnais, bringing together works by the artists Alice Shintani, Daiara Tukano, E.B. Itso, Frida Orupabo, Gala Porras-Kim, Gustavo Caboco, Jaider Esbell, Jungjin Lee, Melvin Moti e Victor Anicet. Click here for more about this exhibition on the 34th Bienal hotsite.
